Creative Strategist

The Creative Strategist, Australia, will be responsible for driving adoption of the Celtra platform across all brands within all of one of our key partner’s agencies.  Seconded to this key partner, the role will be based in their office in Sydney, with occasional attendance required at the Celtra office, Sydney.  The role will promote the benefits of Celtra to personnel within the agencies, all of their relevant brands and their marketing teams, and associated creative agencies.  This will be done through pitches, briefings, creative workshops, creative ideation sessions, campaign kick-off meetings and any meeting where the Creative Strategist is requested to attend.  Once a suitable creative idea is agreed, the Creative Strategist is responsible for ensuring that idea comes to life and is delivered in the Celtra platform, through the most appropriate production channel.  They are accountable for the timely and faultless delivery of those assets, even if they are not producing them, themselves.  Even though production may not be delivered by this role itself, the candidate is required to become a deep Celtra AdCreator product expert.

Reporting to the Celtra Regional Director, APAC, and a representative of the agency, the successful candidate will show a strong passion for Celtra and the agencies & brands they work with, and everything we are all trying to do to improve creativity on mobile. This role will require you to understand and assess brands’ digital marketing needs intimately through briefing sessions.  Then ideate and create the html5 execution of the over-arching creative agency led idea, in Celtra.  The concept will need to be sold in and ultimately charged for as a production and ad-serving cost, which contributes to targets.

  • Your mission is to drive adoption of the Celtra platform across all partner agency clients. This, in turn, will create revenues for both Celtra and the partner.
  • You will attend all client briefings you are invited to and drive your attendance into ones you have not, so you can highlight the opportunities now afforded the partner’s brands.
  • Acting as a resource for the media agency personnel, you will ultimately take creative direction from the creative agency’s over-arching creative strategy. Your creative input is the enablement of that idea into an engaging and effective html5 execution.
  • You will consult, present, demonstrate and provide all the knowledge a client needs to make a decision to become a user of the Celtra platform.
  • Work closely and successfully with both the broader Celtra team, the broader agency teams and your two direct line managers at the partner & Celtra. For the avoidance of any doubt, the partner will be your day to day line manager and you will respond to their requests as a priority.
  • Fearlessly embodying the Celtra beliefs about advertising UX and presenting these values to all, in pitches, at events, industry presentations, etc. You will be instrumental in the success of 4 creativity events held throughout 2017.
  • Producing all reports and attending WIP meetings as required by the Regional Director, Celtra and the partner.
  • Champion the needs of your agency & brands within Celtra to ensure they are met
  • Maintain excellent up-to-date expert knowledge of Celtra’s AdCreator platform and product strategy 

Minimum Requirements                                                                          

  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience of ideating and creating innovative & successful html5 creative executions.
  • High-level proficiency in Adobe design suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc)
  • A demonstrated, deep understanding of how to bring digital creative to life and an understanding of the realities of market campaign demands
  • Ability to take direction and run independently
  • A track record of successful, high-volume, delivery of production on time, to spec and with faultless execution
  • Friendly & persistent personality with a high standard of customer service and a commitment to excellence
  • Strategic approach to prioritizing your brand approach
  • Ability and willingness to work under a pre-set over-arching creative idea, and ability to bring it to life through your own excellence and flavour.
  • A track record of confident and superb presentation skills and managing client briefings
  • Excellent ability to manage multi-level and inter-company stakeholders and demands
  • Faultless communication (both written and verbal) & interpersonal skills
  • Passion to succeed and over-achieve in any role
  • Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a team player
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally as required
  • Basic Excel and Excellent PowerPoint skills
  • Flexible attitude to work hours & environment
  • Fluent in English
  • Legally able to work in Australia with a valid passport with no travel restrictions


Preferred Experience

  • Basic understanding of HTML5 & Javascript
  • Familiar with commercial 3rd party ad serving platforms such as DFA, Sizmek, etc
  • An understanding of the broader mobile advertising ecosystem
