Finance Controller

We are looking for a skilled and diligent finance controller who enjoys working in a vibrant, technology start up environment and is prepared to grow with us, while we are pioneering the mobile advertising revolution. You would need to get familiar with our business “DNA” well enough to be able to improve finance and operation processes and provide enlightened reports and analysis for the company management.

Responsibilities / work tasks:

  • Monthly financial and business reporting with intelligent analysis on business performance
  • Deep involvement into monthly billing (preparation of invoicing spreadsheets, overseeing the invoicing process, following up the collection process) in cooperation with the Finance department and Customer Service department
  • Keeping track of and sorting all of the incoming bills into QB and bill.com
  • Assistance and action taking with legal, insurance and other documents necessary for smooth client relationships
  • Budget planning and cost controls
  • Coordinate year end audits

You would be working out of our MA office located at the Cambridge Innovation Center on the MIT campus, mainly working with the Finance team, our Sales department, Client Services department and our lawyers, while directly reporting to the VP of Finance and Operations.

You will have a big picture view on the business performance, which will enable you to demonstrate intelligent reporting on the business performance and more importantly to suggest improvements and anticipate better practices.

Requirements:

  • CPA degree and some relevant working experience
  • Strategic thinker who differs more important from less important and likes to be hands on
  • Extremely organized, detailed and fast
  • Experience and/or knowledge in understanding the business through numbers and people, demonstrating capabilities for intelligent reporting and intelligent decision making (you don’t necessarily need to have years of experience at a particular job position, as we prefer someone with a great and creative mind than with an “experienced and polluted” working habits)
