Backend Software Engineer Intern (Analytics)

Our Creative Management Platform provides an end-to-end solution from dynamic creative design to ad serving to granular marketing campaign analytics providing brands a clear view of their efforts in a complex AdTech space. 

Your work matters! What you might work on:

  • Benchmarking different big data / warehouse databases (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks Delta, Druid)
  • Meta analytics. We want to get in-depth insight into how analytics is used by people at Celtra and our customers so we can further optimize our code and better measure effect of code changes.
  • You might work on extending and improving our CI infrastructure to better handle high velocity of our codebase.
  • Improve automation of the whole analytics pipeline so it can automatically handle failures, retrying and all the other stuff that happens in distributed system.

We expect:

  • Some programming skills, and understanding of what APIs are.
  • You are truly interested in how things work and are always willing to dig deeper.
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Willingness to constantly learn and improve.
  • Team players.

A bit about the analytics stack:

  • Snowflake is our bread and butter, but you might also work with Mysql and S3
  • Kinesis, enabling us to be event-driven
  • Programming language of choice is Scala and some PHP
  • Distributed processing engine such as Apache Spark
  • AWS and its services are the backbone of our infrastructure
